Weekends Rock!!

First, cute pictures.....
Getting ready for her bath

Playing in her favorite spot

Well this weekend has been wonderful at the Brooks' house! Yesterday we had rain and winds which kept us home and inside all day. Stephanie and I had tons of fun playing while Daddy slept! I was able to get all the dishes and laundry done and cleaned the floors while Stephanie slept. She had a fever Friday but it has gotten better (teething and a cold). We had fun last night playing and hanging out before Josh did bedtime and I went to get us dinner. It's HARD to figure out what you'll eat when you don't have a microwave or an oven!!
Today we bought a microwave and grocery shopped when Josh got home. He was in an awesome mood despite being VERY sleep deprived......we had a great morning! Daddy and his friend David came over and put in the plug for our new stove. A special gas plumber will come over tomorrow to cap off the gas line and then LOWES will bring us our new oven as soon as we fit on the delivery schedule. Order of business #1 when I have an oven.....bake my Daddy some cookies because he ROCKS! He has done SOOOOO much for Josh and I! We are so very blessed to have him and Mommy so close! Seriously, don't know how we would survive without them!
Stephanie and I played all morning and she practiced pulling up on EVERYTHING. She went down for a late nap at 12 and I was able to sort the mail and now play on the blog. It's beautiful and sunny so we'll be able to go on a walk tonight and I'll probably mow once she is in bed....I love working in my yard! Thank you Lord for a great weekend when all were kind and sweet, Stephanie was happy and feeling good and the weather was just what we needed (it was even cool enough this morning to open windows!!!) We have three more days until our cable is cut.....is it strange I'm looking forward to it? The lack of TV will be a good thing and it's funny the reaction I get when people find out we won't have cable. One friend actually said "Man, you really are poor" LOL, I like to call it Pleasantly Poor, thank you :)
Much love, have a great week!

  1. Grandparents do ROCK!!! I absolutely love my parents and they have helped out so much with watching jer or fixing our computer (my dad)...it is great! She is getting so big and trying to be a walking girl :). I remember those days and I cherished them so much...they are just so cute when they are learning how to walk. Have a wonderful Sunday...much love to you all!
