A little more on the go

Of course when Josh started filming Stephanie stopped running around screaming (it was sooo funny!) She gets these little bursts of energy and it cracks me up! This is as good as it got the other evening.

As you can tell the house is still a work in progress....but it's getting there! The two big grey tubs are baby toys and clothes......there are still two other ones in Stephanie's closet! It's amazing how much stuff we have (and I'm SO glad I saved it all!!) I am sorting through it all and keeping what I will use and donating the rest to our school-aged parent program (a group near my heart for obvious reasons).

We are sorting through all of our DVD's and getting rid of a bunch of those as well......man does your taste in music and movies change when you have kiddos in the house! Oh be careful little eyes what you see.......

I guess you could say I'm Nesting!

Well I cleaned and organized ALL day yesterday and have done a little today (but am having a day of rest because I way overdid it yesterday). Here are some pictures of the progress, and the HUGE AMOUNT OF STUFF I have to sort through and get ready for CCA (the kitchen is my sorting station for now). I feel SO MUCH BETTER with Stephanie's room, the playroom/office and our living room being in order! I know where Mary's stuff will go and we are on the right track to having a nice organized cleaned out house by the end of the weekend. People said "wow, you're outgrowing your little house! Ya'll should move".....my reaction is "no, we need to clean out, donate and organize!" There is no reason our little family can't be happy in our home! We just need to simplify :)

The kitchen counters and table are full of boxes and bags of things to organize, trash or donate (it had to go up high because of Stephanie and Boulder :)
I need to organize our filed from the last FIVE YEARS! Ugh! How did I let it get so bad!! I have a GREAT system now so I can stay on top of things!!!
The treadmill is gone and this corner is a place for a few of Stephanie's favorite toys and books and our rocker ready for Mary to arrive. Stephanie LOVES to sit in the rocker and read her books!!

The girls new playroom and our office area. Stephanie LOVES playing in her playroom because she can get to all her toys! We put safety locks on the file cabinet so she doesn't pull them all out once I finally get them organized. We swapped the rooms because I figured the girls need the larger room and closet to share (and if the 20% chance it's a boy turns out to be 100% chance Stephanie will have the bigger room and bigger closet as a consolation prize for having to share a bathroom with a boy :)
Still have the changing stuff in here so we can change diapers without bothering Stephanie if she's napping.
Stephanie's Big Girl room and her bed. The crib we bought transitions to a toddler bed then a full size bed. She did GREAT yesterday! Took a good nap and slept all night. She woke up twice last night (which could be the new room or her cold). I went in, gave her Lion and patted her back....she went right back to sleep.
Bad picture....but she LOVES her horse! She rides him all day!!!

And last our shower. Daddy and Michael took all the old tile and sheet rock out this last weekend. They found mold (no big surprise). The studs are fine and we have used a bleach water solution to be sure any lingering little spores are gone. Daddy and Michael offered to retile the shower for us and save us a TON of money! We of course said that would be wonderful! No telling how long we'll be sharing a bathroom with Stephie.....it's so worth it for the $$ we will save!

Thanks daddy and michael for doing all the demo work on our shower! Saved us $$ and stephie loved having everyone here all day! I love my awesome family!!

Mommy and Me

Before we headed to the dr Josh shot a few pics. Lighting was bad but Stephanie looked cute (although she didn't cooperate) and I was about as good as I get these days :) We'll probably try for some better pics later this week.....maybe after our storms today or tomorrow. I LOVE the lighting outside after a storm :)

A day in the life....

Stephanie isn't all coloring, puzzles or reading books!! She LOVES to make a mess and her favorite place is in the dogs water :/ Last week Josh filled up the dogs water bowl FULL and she decided to dump it...in about 2.5 seconds! So OF COURSE I grabbed my camera and snapped a few pics before giving her a towel and having her clean it up with me (which she also loved). This is why I only give the dogs enough water for a drink....then pick it up when they are done ;)

These are just two random pictures. She was playing with her barn animal magnets and as you can tell concentrating very hard :)

I think we'll put the ABC set on her Christmas list :)

Big Coloring Girl

Stepahnie LOVES to color! We bought these new WONDERFUL crayons that she can't break, write from both ends and are thin (which means she holds them like her pen that she LOVES). Stephanie spends half her days coloring with a pen and paper which means she is covered in ink (as are her clothes). These crayons have been able to replace her ink pen (most days :) She asks every morning to color and week keep it set up on the kitchen table and on the coffee table....she probably has her crayons in her hand 90% of the day :) Here are some super sweet pictures of her coloring at the table (which now has all four chairs down all of the time....she loves to climb up like a big girl and color :)

Yes, she has two little scabs on her hand....couldn't tell you what she did! This kid ALWAYS has a new scrape, cut or bruise and half the time we have no idea how she got them becuase she rarely cries....she's one tough cookie!

Love her sweet smile! She is such a sweetie pie.....but don't worry! She has plenty of her Momma's Sass and Strong Will.....it's a blast! I am forever laughing (on the inside) and her anger when she doesn't get her way and the things she does to display this anger. She knows it won't work so as soon as she has vented her displeasure she always gives me a hug :) It's funny when she throws something or screams and Josh just looks at her and says
"Really, is that how my sweet girl behaves" It sounds so grown up to me but she
ALWAYS stops and then gives him lovies :)

She's getting so big!! Can't wait to see her with baby Mary!!!

Super Daddy to the Rescue

Last week Stephanie got a horrible diaper rash and had to have an oatmeal bath. This leaves a funk in the bottom of the bathtub that I normally would clean out.....but felt like doo-doo and forgot. Anyways, when Josh went in the next evening to give Stephanie a bath the funk was still in the bottom of the tub so he grabbed everything and marched off to our bathroom (and was pretty frustrated with me....NOT that I blame him one bit! Pretty sure this was the last straw after living in a TRASHED house for a couple months). So I give him a minute or two then go in to check on them.....life (or his horrible housewife) gave him lemons and he made leomaide! He filled up our garden tub, added a bunch of Stephie's body wash and turned on the jets.....Stephanie had a blast!!



We have decided to do this atleast once a week....just for fun :) By the time I brought the camera in both Josh and Stephie were laughing and her dirty tub (and our trashed house) had all been forgotten :) A couple days later I started to feel AMAZING and did clean the house....TOP TO BOTTOM :) Life at our house has been much less stressful now that we have clean, folded laundry and clean dishes to eat off of :)

Hi all.....80% its a girl. Her name is Mary Jean. Mary is after joshs Mamaw and great grandmother, Jean is after my moms mom (died when mom was 15)

I FINALLY feel like i'm in my second trimester.....PTL!!!!

One week from today we'll find out if stephanie will have a baby sister or baby brother.....i need to decide on a girls name!!! I think i'm getting close....

Couscous Girl

A happy girl eating Mommys FIRST home cooked dinner in THREE months (atleast). The last time she had Couscous is the picture to the right of this....in the toolbar. She has grown up SO much!!!

It's a Multi Purpose Chair :)

This is my Granddad's chair. It was one of the few things I have of his and I LOVE it! It's pleather and way old but SUPER comfy and holds special memories! My Dad actually had one back in the day, too......I'm not sure it survived the move from The Colony....

Anyways, Stephanie LOVES to sit in this chair and read books, have snack or just watch the dogs. Yesterday she decided this chair was going to be her new slide (not that she needs one, she has one in the playroom and outside...anyways). She LOVED climbing on and then sliding off the chair....it cracked me up! She was really good at catching herself (never busted her face on the floor) and I was impressed. If she had hit the floor it's only about a foot up, but still. It's fun to see Granddad's chair being her favorite place to hang out in the living room......

On the floor is the laundry that was on the chair....she decided my CLEAN laundry was cramping her style so she threw it on the VERY DIRTY floor....oh well! Guess I'll stop putting laundry in "her" chair, haha!

Is this okay, can I keep doing this? That's what this look is....I said "Yea, Go down!" and she continued to play in the chair for about 30 minutes (which is crazy!)

Organizing her Papers

Stephanie spent a good amount of time the other morning organizing her papers. I was on the computer and she had a file folder with several pieces of paper in it. She stacked, re-stacked, sorted, moved and then colored.....it was precious! Looks like she will be organized like both her Papa's :)

Stephanie Jo Lovin the Water

Stephanie and I have been stuck at home lately due to Josh working a ton and my car not having AC (which means I CAN NOT drive it past 11 or I get very sick :( So last week Mom came and rescued us several days. Most days we just ran errands with her but one day Stephanie's Papa had all her water toys waiting for her and they spent at least an hour out back enjoying the beautiful day (I was actually able to sit out on their back porch and take pictures so it must have only have been in the 80's). Auntie Kimmi even stopped by to have some fun since she had the day off! It was a great way to end our "Summer Break" as Gamma has to return to work this Monday (boooo!)
