Mimi's Bday

We had a little family dinner at Kimmi and Micheal's on Sunday for Kimmi's bday. Stephie LOVES to go play out there!! Their "neighbors" have horses, cows, turkeys.....and of course Mimi and Guykel have a pond, rocks, ducks and the ever-so-popular "LUUUUUcy". Stephie is in heaven! Grandpa Steve took her outside and she had a blast! Didn't snap many pictures, was enjoying being able to relax!

This is something we hear OFTEN!! This kiddo LOVES to be outside! We are having to establish some ground rules....number one being stay out of Mommy's pretties.....you can see how well that's going ;) She now has a shovel and a rake so she can help Mommy in the yard. We are sprouting seeds inside to be able to plant wild flowers outside...hoping I can get enough flowers growing that I won't notice as much when she pulls them!!

A Few of my Favorite Things

What I found tonight when I came into our room after putting Stephie to bed. Josh had worked 16 hours and still heard Mary cry and went to lay by her. Give this kid a passy and she's happy to fall asleep just staring at her Daddy. For me she MUST be swaddled or she won't sleep...stinker :)

Family Fun Day

This was Stephie's first trip to the zoo (unless you count when she went two years ago in the sling and slept the whole way, haha!) She LOVED it! We went to a tiny zoo about 45 minutes away....it was so wonderful we bought a family pass. It will be a monthly trip (atleast once a month if not more!) It's the Frank Buck Zoo in Gainsville...enjoy!

March Brooks' Family Night

We have a monthly family dinner at Mum and Papi's house (Josh's parents). It has been WONDERFUL to have this set time to just hang out as a family! Stephie talks about it all month :) This month she enjoyed playing a matching game with Mum and folding origami. She also played games on Daddy's phone while Papi did work on his....super cute! Sweet Vince and little Mary enjoyed snoozin on their Mommy's and the boys watched TV....was a great day!

Fun Times

Stephie's "mum pretty bracelet" She LOVES IT!! We went to visit Bonnie at the bead store and she made Stephie this super precious bracelet.....she picked out her own beads and everything :)

The blanket they are laying on is also a family thing....pretty sure Bonnie's mom made it (the girls great-mum). They never got to meet her but her love is felt :)

Speaking of great grandparents.....this hat and gloves are my great-grandma Christy's (my moms grandma) She was a tiny, sassy lady who wore these to church (appropriate that my tiny, sassy girl now wears them). They are now in Stephie's dress up box and are a favorite :)

Sisters

Sweetie Pie Mary is her wonderful cloth diapers (cloth diapers make for happy hinneys!) She is getting so big and getting a little Momma's Milk Chub....LOVE it! She LOVES to lay on our bed and kick in just her diaper....one of my favorite times of the day (next to naptime with Stephie ;)





This second one is way cute! If you listen you can hear me tell Mary to say hi to Papa....Stephie come's running saying "Papa Bill?" Way cute!




Here are a few of my favorite pictures....I'm LOVING having an iphone and bring able to capture so much of our daily life! Many of these have already been sent to the Great Grandparents....but repeats never hurt :)
Going for our first walk on Sunday. It was so wonderful out! Today mom brought over a sleeping bag thing that I used to sit in to stay warm when I was tiny.....it'll be perfect for early morning walks. Mary gets super cold and cranky very fast! This way she can be warm and toasty and we can enjoy the beautiful Spring mornings!


Sweetie pie sound asleep on our bed while I was reading "None of these Diseases" (if you haven't read it and are curious as to what the Bible says about disease and prevention it's a GREAT book! I'm half way through in just two days!

Our mornings :) I go and get Stephie, change her and get her dressed (well most days we get dressed, ha) Then we go and "get Mary" Stephie gets to play a game on my iphone all snuggled up in our bed while I feed Mary. Then she wants "Mary lay you" meaning she wants Mary to lay by her. They sit there laying side by side for a good 10 minutes....cracks me up! and Stephie ALWAYS wants to be holding Mary's hand.

and this was today....priceless! There is no doubt these are Josh's girls! They both seem to love tv. (this was Mary's first experience actually watching it) They were watching Baby Einstein while I cleaned house. Both were super tired and Mary had a fussy day. I was organizing dvd's and found our old baby Einstein that worked WONDERS on Stephie....popped it in and both girls loved it (Stephie loved that she got to sit by Mary). She made sure Mary stayed covered, bounced her when she cried and even tried to give Mary her passy.....I love my little munchkins!
