This past week was fun, busy and super tiring! Josh had his last day at the base Wednesday which was also my first meeting of the new school year. Stephanie went to Ms Rebeccas and did great.....she was SO excited to see Ryan and Ethan (as were they to see her). She did great as always.
Thursday started our last few days of doing nothing but being a family. Josh and I will both return to work on the 18th.....wow! Time has flown by! We have run errands, had dinner with friends (the Rays and McGranes), slept alot, watched the Olympics and started the HUGE task of cleaning and organizing our lives. Seriously, Josh still hasn't finished unpacking and I haven't cleaned out my closet or garage since I got prego (yes, that's about a year of not cleaning them out.....man have I got a big job ahead of me). So far we have cleaned the house, I reorganized the kitchen and caught up on laundry (for now ;)
Still to do: beautify the yard, organize closet and bathroom, get Stephanie all packed up for Rebeccas and buy some back to school pants.....that's my list. Josh has a million phone calls to make along with unpacking and cleaning out his side of the closet. We'll have a busy, but productive week!
Today Stephanie and I got up at 5:30. We had breakfast, played and she went down for her nap at 7:30. I'm enjoying some quiet time to update the blog and get a head start on emails from work. Stephanie and I are both going to start adjusting to getting up early (but she gets a nap! I'm going to be SOOO ready for bed tonight!!!) The nice thing about getting up early is that I'll get more on my list done (I have to keep reminding myself there is a nice part about getting up early ;)
Well, here are some super cute pictures of the girl (sorry it's taken so long). She loves trying to use her sippy cup....still not very good at it. She eats breakfast, lunch and dinner in her high chair enjoying an assortment of homemade veggie "dishes", she is still having teething issues (fever, diaper rash, chewing EVERYTHING). I can't tell if it's from the same tooth or another one coming in....I cut two in one week, then took a break for a few months (would love it if she did the same). She still can't figure out how to move her arms to crawl....so she just army crawls ALL OVER the house! Josh bought me a swiffer vac and I LOVE IT! The dog hair drives me nuts when Stephanie crawls through it. I can swiffer vac each night and it makes a HUGE difference (and only takes like 5 minutes)........a little OCD, I know. Stephanie can say da-da-da-da-da and when I say "Where's Daddy" she looks right at Josh.....too precious! She has no idea that I'm "Mommy" but she loves me anyways :) Being a mommy rocks and having Josh home is the best ever! We have adjusted to live as a family of three and it's like he was never gone. Thank you, God for giving me such an amazing husband who loves his Daddy duties and still makes sure he is being the best husband possible for me.......I am blessed beyond words.
Much love to all, have a great week!
